How does Paystorm extract data from my receipts?

Our AI reads each receipt or invoice image and pulls out the vendor, date, total, taxes and every line item — no manual entry needed.

Can I use the receipt scanner and bank statement features separately?

Absolutely. Scan receipts on their own to get a CSV export, or upload a bank statement on its own to categorize transactions. When you use both together, the tool automatically matches each bank transaction to the right receipt.

Is the scanner really free?

Yes — upload, scan and export unlimited receipts at no cost. Premium workflow automation lives in the full Paystorm suite.

Which file types are supported?

JPEG, PNG, HEIC and PDFs up to 10 MB each for receipts. Bank statements should be CSV files.

Do I need a QuickBooks subscription?

Only if you want to post expenses directly. CSV export works without any QuickBooks account.

Is my data secure?

Files are encrypted at rest and auto-deleted after processing. We never store your QuickBooks credentials.

Does it work with Xero or Sage?

CSV exports are formatted for Xero, Sage and NetSuite. Direct API sync is available in the paid plan.
