Paystorm for Zoho Books

User & Admin Guide

Last Updated: 22nd May, 2026

A practical guide for connecting Zoho Books to Paystorm and using the integration for accounts receivable workflows.

1. Overview

Paystorm for Zoho Books connects Zoho Books invoice and customer data with Paystorm's AI-powered collections workflow.

Zoho Books remains the system of record for invoices, payments, accounting, and reconciliation. Paystorm acts as the receivables intelligence and follow-up layer.

2. Before You Connect

  • An active Paystorm account.
  • An active Zoho Books organization.
  • Admin or finance access in Zoho Books.
  • Issued, collectible invoices in Zoho Books.

Draft invoices are not synced. New customers appear in Paystorm after they have collectible invoice activity.

3. Connect Zoho Books

  1. 1Create or sign in to Paystorm.
  2. 2Open your Paystorm workspace.
  3. 3Choose the Zoho Books connection option from the dashboard.
  4. 4Click Connect Zoho Books.
  5. 5Review the Zoho authorization screen.
  6. 6Select the Zoho Books organization to connect.
  7. 7Approve access through Zoho OAuth.
  8. 8Return to Paystorm and wait for receivables data to sync.

The setup starts from Paystorm first. Users should not expect to sign in directly with Zoho as the first step.

4. What Paystorm Syncs

  • Customers or contacts
  • Collectible invoices
  • Due dates
  • Outstanding balances
  • Payment history
  • Receivables-related invoice activity

Paystorm uses this data to analyze payment behavior, score late-payment risk, forecast expected cash collection, and support follow-up workflows.

5. Use the Integration

After Zoho Books is connected, use Paystorm as the workspace for reviewing receivables risk and managing follow-up work.

  1. 1Open Paystorm after Zoho Books has synced.
  2. 2Review the imported customers and collectible invoices from Zoho Books.
  3. 3Check due dates, balances, payment history, and risk indicators.
  4. 4Use the risk and urgency signals to decide which invoices need attention first.
  5. 5Review the suggested follow-up action for each invoice or customer.
  6. 6Edit, approve, or skip follow-up work based on your team process.
  7. 7Refresh Zoho Books data from the account page when you need the latest invoice or payment updates.

Zoho Books remains the source of truth for accounting records. Paystorm helps your team decide which receivables need action and when to follow up.

6. Key Features

Zoho Books invoice sync

Paystorm imports collectible Zoho Books invoices, customers, due dates, balances, and payment history. Draft invoices are excluded because they are not ready to collect.

Late-payment risk prediction

Paystorm analyzes Zoho Books invoice and payment behavior to highlight invoices and customers that may pay late.

Cash-flow forecasting

Paystorm uses Zoho Books receivables data to help estimate when cash is likely to arrive and where delays may happen.

Smarter follow-up workflow

Teams can prioritize open Zoho Books invoices, review suggested actions, and manage payment follow-up from Paystorm.

7. Refresh and Troubleshooting

Paystorm keeps Zoho Books data updated in the background. You can also manually refresh Zoho Books data from the Paystorm account page.

If expected data does not appear, check:

  • Confirm the Zoho Books organization is still connected.
  • Confirm the invoice is issued and not a draft.
  • Confirm the customer has collectible invoice activity.
  • Refresh Zoho Books data from the Paystorm account page.
  • Contact Paystorm support if the data still does not appear.

8. Disconnecting

To disconnect Zoho Books, log in to Paystorm, go to account settings or integrations, select the connected Zoho Books account, and choose disconnect or revoke access.

After disconnecting, Paystorm will no longer sync or refresh Zoho Books receivables data. Existing records remain in Zoho Books.

9. Security and Privacy

Zoho Books authorization uses OAuth, so users approve access through Zoho instead of sharing Zoho passwords with Paystorm.

Paystorm states that OAuth-provider data is used to deliver enabled features, is not used to train or fine-tune AI or machine-learning models, and is not shared with advertising or data-broker services.

Paystorm official public domains are paystorm.ai and getpaystorm.com. The application runs on app.paystorm.ai.
